Background

Merit Consulting Group was created in June 2004 to establish a business which is focused on providing service, value and quality to our clients. Merit has a long and successful background in contaminated site remediation & rehabilitation, demolition and asbestos removal.

What We Do

Merit Consulting Group is focused on developing long term relationships by providing quality services on time, on budget and we take responsibility on sites to deliver the outcomes sought by clients. We take an innovative approach to client projects and in particular difficult and complex projects to come up with innovative and cost effective answers to the project issues for the benefit of the client.

Meet the Team

We have built a multi-skilled and experienced team with a diverse range of skills and expertise covering all aspects of remediation, demolition and associated industries. Our team is built around multi-skilling with a number of team members being able to operate excavators, drive semi tippers, operate EWP and carry out asbestos removal. This allows MCG to provide flexibility to our clients and maximise our productivity on sites. The owner takes a hands-on approach being actively involved in daily operations.

Safety

Merit Consulting Group has an enviable safety record with no LTI’s for the last 11 years. Our safety record is a result of the owner and team being actively involved on projects planning and execution in a safe manner.

Appropriate safety plans and methodologies are developed following an assessment of the risks on each project together with our onsite staff.

Indigenous Engagement

We have an active Indigenous Engagement Program that includes the following

Involvement with the Carey Bindjareb Program to assist prisoners rehabilitation with employment opportunities

Training and employment of local community members when working on Indigenous Community sites

Ongoing employment of Indigenous personnel including full time apprentice (Heavy Duty Fitter)

Engagement of Indigenous businesses

In progress preparation of Reconciliation Action Plan

Environmental Excellence

We take great care to eliminate adverse impacts on the environment from our operations with focus on maximising resource recovery through separation of materials at source to convert as much waste as possible to a reusable resource.

Pre-Qualifications

MCG is a prequalified/recognised contractor with the government sector such as Water Corporation, Development WA, Horizon Power and DPLH as well as the private sector including Aurora Environmental, WSP, Senversa, JBS&G, Fulton Hogan, DM Civil, Densford Civil and various building companies.
